BMW F750GS

The BMW F 750 GS is a comfortable, confidence-inspiring adventure motorcycle that feels right at home in Ecuador. BMW tested the earliest GS prototypes in Ecuador in 1980, and the qualities that defined those machines—balance, versatility and long-distance capability—remain well suited to the country’s varied riding conditions. With its manageable seat height, neutral ergonomics and smooth parallel-twin engine, the F 750 GS is an excellent choice for both experienced riders and those stepping up to a larger adventure motorcycle. It delivers plenty of power for climbing high Andean passes, carrying luggage and overtaking at altitude, while remaining easy to control through Quito traffic and tight mountain switchbacks. Our rental model includes the upgraded 6.5-inch color TFT display, tubeless tires, ABS and traction control, along with Pro and Dynamic riding modes. These features provide a more refined riding experience and allow the motorcycle’s response to be adjusted to suit the rider and conditions. The cast-alloy wheels and road-oriented setup make the F 750 GS best suited to paved routes, rough secondary roads and occasional easy unpaved sections rather than extended off-road riding. Across the Avenue of the Volcanoes, cloudforest, Amazon foothills and Pacific Coast, it provides the comfort, stability and performance needed for full days of exploring. Rent the BMW F 750 GS for a versatile and approachable motorcycle adventure through Ecuador.

Safety, the Real Way

Layers, Not Promises

Safety here has layers — the bike, the gear, the routes we know (and the ones we skip), the towns that recognize our bikes, the kit in your luggage, and the eyes on the tracker while you're out there.

  • Basic injury insurance — SPPAT Ecuador's SPPAT accident-protection system covers victims of traffic accidents, including motorcycle riders. Coverage includes up to US$3,000 in medical expenses at public or private health facilities, up to US$200 for ambulance or emergency transportation, up to US$5,000 for accident-related disability, US$5,000 in the event of death, and up to US$400 for funeral expenses. US$3,000 goes a long way for medical treatment in Ecuador, but a serious accident can easily exceed that amount. We strongly recommend carrying additional travelers' insurance that specifically covers motorcycle riding. Learn more about travelers' insurance →
  • Supplemental third-party liability Extra coverage for damage or injury caused to others while operating one of our motorcycles.
  • Satellite tracker, watched in real time Every bike carries a satellite tracker with a live feed to our office. Our team watches it throughout the day — not just to confirm you arrived, but to flag anything that doesn't look right along the way.
  • Red Cross first aid kit Every group rides with a custom first aid kit built under the advisement of the Ecuador Red Cross — designed for the incidents most likely on the routes we run, not a generic drugstore box.
  • A team trained for the unexpected Everyone here — guides, mechanics, office staff, even the person answering the phone — is trained in first aid, CPR, accident-scene management, and motorcycle mechanics. Whoever picks up, knows what to do.
  • Tire repair kit on board A plug kit and inflator (or spare inner tubes and tire irons, depending on your bike) so a flat doesn't end your day.
  • Routes we know, communities that know us Sixteen years of stopping for coffee in the same towns, dropping off school supplies through Ride for a Purpose , and scouting every road we recommend. When you're on a Freedom bike, you're not a stranger passing through.
Riding Equipment

Bring Your Own — We Have a Backup

  • Loaner helmet (backup) DOT-approved helmets available if you need one at the last minute — but bring your own if you can. Our loaners are well-used and might not fit or smell fresh.
  • Gloves Riding gloves in your size, included with every rental.
  • The ADV Closet (backup only) Free access to a shared closet of used jackets, riding pants, boots, and rain gear if you're missing something. It's a safety net, not a rental program — availability and fit aren't guaranteed, so plan to bring your own kit.
Support & Convenience

We've Got Your Back

  • Unlimited mileage Ride as far as you want — no per-kilometer charges, ever.
  • Panamerican Highway tolls covered Tolls on the Panamerican Highway are on us. One less thing to fumble for at the booth. (Other highway tolls are on you.)
  • Route advice Personal briefing from riders who've been down every road on your map.
  • Local push-button phone & 24-hour support A simple push-button cell phone with our numbers on speed dial. Real people on call day or night — whoever picks up is trained in first aid, mechanics, and route knowledge.
  • Luggage storage Leave your suitcase and travel gear with us while you ride.
  • Freedom Riders' Lounge Fireplace, jacuzzi, honor bar, and a comfortable place to hang out before or after your ride. Take a look →
