Basic injury insurance — SPPAT Ecuador's SPPAT accident-protection system covers victims of traffic accidents, including drivers and passengers. Coverage includes up to US$3,000 in medical expenses at public or private health facilities, up to US$200 for ambulance or emergency transportation, up to US$5,000 for accident-related disability, US$5,000 in the event of death, and up to US$400 for funeral expenses. US$3,000 goes a long way for medical treatment in Ecuador, but a serious accident can easily exceed that amount. We strongly recommend carrying additional travelers' insurance. The Fine Print
Booking Terms Summary
Payment
A 50% deposit confirms your reservation. The remaining balance is due at pickup.
Cancellation
Deposits are refundable, minus 10% of the total rental price, when you cancel at least 90 days before pickup.
No refunds for cancellations less than 90 days before pickup — regardless of reason. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
